Ident Evaluation
I used after effects to create my ident, with a basic level of animation. When the letters fell I wanted the girl to appear like she was watching them. I did this by adjusting the scale, and tried to make it look as accurate as possible. To adjust the scale I set a keyframe 'in' and 'out' at the start and end of where I want the letters to move.
I imported the letters by using 'text' in after effects, and adjusted the colour on them, to make them multi-coloured. So that they fell down at the right moment I dragged the sequences along the timeline.
I think that my ident looked creative, and gave across a fun 80s vibe, which is what I was going for; since my channel is aimed mostly at adolescents. I wanted my character to look bright and funky, to go with the animation I was going to put in. I think my ident is individual since I am not solely using moving image and motion graphics but a combination of the two together. This created an interesting and pleasing visual.
